The community, supported by Agri Evolve in establishing a clean water supply in 2020, comprises 1000 smallholder farmers who grow coffee on 1 to 4 acres plots at altitudes of 1300 to 1600 masl. The coffee cherries are meticulously harvested, fermented, and dried to ensure the highest quality.

The Mantiqueira Mountains

The Mantiqueria Mountains, a majestic range that stretches across São Paulo, Minas Gerais, and Rio de Janeiro states in Brazil, are renowned for their breathtaking natural beauty and rich biodiversity. This region is a haven for coffee lovers and environmentalists alike, offering a unique combination of high altitude, fertile soil, and a favorable climate that contributes to the production of some of the world's most exquisite coffee beans. The mountains are not only a vital source of coffee but also home to an array of flora and fauna, making it a critical area for conservation efforts. The Mantiqueira de Minas region, in particular, has gained a reputation for its specialty coffee, which is cultivated by small-holder farmers who are deeply committed to sustainability and quality. The area's stunning landscapes, characterized by rolling hills, lush forests, and crystal-clear streams, provide an idyllic backdrop for the meticulous process of coffee growing, ensuring that each bean captures the essence of this remarkable region.

The Katanda Community

Nestled in the southernmost part of the Rwenzori Mountains in Uganda's Kasese District, the Katanda Community is a testament to the strength and resilience of its people and the richness of their land. This vibrant community comprises over a thousand smallholder farmers, who cultivate coffee on small plots of land that dot the mountainous landscape. With altitudes ranging from 1300 to 1600 meters above sea level, the area is perfectly suited for coffee production, offering beans with distinctive flavors and aromas. Beyond coffee, the Katanda Community stands out for its commitment to sustainable living and cooperative development. In 2020, with the support of Agri Evolve, they established a clean water supply, marking a significant advancement in the community's well-being. The farmers of Katanda, deeply connected to their land and each other, work collaboratively through the entire coffee process, from cultivation to harvest, ensuring that their coffee not only tastes good but also tells the story of their community's dedication to quality, sustainability, and mutual support.
